Dale Neblett–Brown, Q.C.

Dale Neblett–Brown, Q.C. is an Attorney–at–Law with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (with Honours) from the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus) in the Island of Barbados and a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. She has over thirty seven (37) years’ experience and standing as an attorney, having been Called to the Bar of the Island of Barbados in 1981, then to the Bar of the Island of Jamaica in 1982.

Dale has held estimable positions within the Governments of Barbados and Jamaica alike. She has dutifully served as Legal Counsel for both Governments, the Legal Officer of the Ministry of Housing and Lands in Barbados, and the Chief Legal Officer of Barbados’ National Housing Corporation. She transitioned to the private sector in 2000, where she became an Equity Partner of the regional Law Firm, LEX Caribbean. She spearheaded LEX’s Conveyancing Department for 8 years, while acting as the non–resident Country Managing Partner of LEX’s Jamaica branch.

Dale is primarily a real estate attorney; her familiarity with, insight into and proficiency regarding all legal matters pertaining to land and property in Barbados spans over three decades and is well–respected by her colleagues and clients. She specializes in conveyancing and property development with emphasis on banking business and securities. She has handled numerous transactions for the majority of the financial institutions in Barbados, and is renowned for her exceptional legal competence, undeniable legal expertise, and personal flair in the practice of law.

In 2018, Dale was awarded the utmost distinction of Queen’s Counsel; a position accorded to preeminent lawyers who are selected to be “Her Majesty’s Counsel, learned in the law.”
